              I agree, something is different.
Is it a lighter color scheme?

At the bottom of each post, some kind of emoji thing and the likes counter is gone.

Ah, I see it. The "likes" counter is now a thumbs-up icon. Don't see any other changes here, though.

Not a fan of the change. The new layout wastes a lot of space, with the header between posts. It just so happens I have a mix of both on my screen right now. Though my 'old' example has the new reaction stuff.

But now I see it isn't consistent and I'm seeing variations.

I'll also add that I nuke some stuff from pages to erase wasted space, so there may be some impact from that.

Edit: Eww, now I see a facebook and twitter share button on my own post. Nuking that garbage right now...

Seems to me that less space is wasted and the ads are not taking up a vertical column. Or am I remembering wrong? Something's missing because the text seems awful wide now.

Could it, just perhaps, be better?

Or is this some intermediate stage and the ads will return? That does seem likely. Perhaps someone took advantage of the holiday weekend to make the changes but didn't allow enough time to finish.

I tried to give you a thumbs down Reggie-much to my dismay you moved from three to four thumbs up.

                      🤔🙄😁

Making a mountain out of a molehill ... err anthill.

EDIT: Oh, wait ... the thumbs-down is definitely a big deal. We do NOT want that. This should be a friendly place & thumbs down is not a friendly response.

I might have mentioned this a time or two before...

The forum is hosted on a vBulletin server and is a subscription-based plan. Updates, patches, and other work is rolled out all the time, as needed. The changes you are seeing are a result of them updating things to the latest version. As you may know, software updates always include some bad with the good.

While this is not a group that is big on change, the little changes that pop up now and then are a small price to pay for a forum that is stable and relatively spam free.

There are no changes to the ad display, and none are planned. That aspect is the same as it ever was. I'm not seeing any format changes on my end so can't comment on that. I do see the lack of the like button, which didn't get much use anyway.
