Paul Alciatore must be responsible for this. Now the newest comments are on top and the original post is at the bottom. So you start reading replies that leave you totally in the dark ...."what the hell is he talking about! Oh yeah, forgot I have to scroll to the bottom to see what this is about."

EDIT: Oh, wait ... the thumbs-down is definitely a big deal. We do NOT want that. This should be a friendly place & thumbs down is not a friendly response.

OK, I owe an apology to Doozer (wow, that hurts!): I now see what he means. The body font hasn't changed, but the header & footer fonts and buttons are a lot bigger, and you have to expand the editing tools to get access to the capability to insert photos & links in the body of the post.
I also heartily agree with Bob Engelhardt that there should only be a "Like" or thumbs up: if you don't like something or disagree with a post, quote the post and express your opinion (or just ignore and move on, knowing that you're right [like I do 😉]).Last edited by ChazzC; 09-08-2023, 11:06 AM.Avid Amateur Home Shop Machinist, Electronics Enthusiast, Chef, Indoorsman. What's odd about it is that the "like" is HIDDEN, and looks inactive.
If nothing has been liked or whatever, there is only a greyed-out smiley sitting there, but the thumbs up and thumbs down etc are "behind " it... you have to click it to access them.
Took a moment to figure that out, especially as the greyed-out smiley both looks inactive, and also does not have an explanation when you hover on it, which re-enforces the thought that it is inactive.CNC machines only go through the motions.

The only redeeming factor I see in the change is the option to "unlike" a post. LOLHome, down in the valley behind the Red Angus

Is there a mobile version to use? New changes are almost unusable for posting on iPhone.
Edit on this post, it was either forum update bugs getting worked out or my phone not liking the updates but it is now the same as before just with the upgrades.Last edited by oxford; 09-11-2023, 05:45 AM.
