  • For Sale!!

Now, before you get your panties in a bunch, just wanted to ask WHY there is no Wanted, For Sale feature on the forum.? I think everyone's pretty honest, so why not be able to buy, sell stuff???? Has anyone tried petitioning Neil to start one? Good Morning!

Heh heh. Now that can be a slippery slope . Look at many other forums. Just how many separate categories of forums should we have? Only one more? Hey! How about a separate forum for _____ lathes? How about old iron? How about new machines? Etc etc etc...

Also, Village Press publishes a magazine that accepts paying advertisers. A for sale section might conflict with the magazine.

BTW...I agree with you....it wouldn't hurt to have a general For Sale section.
The one in the magazine doesn't do people in other countries etc much good.
It may be handy for our small bunch of Canadians, the UK guys etc to sell stuff to each other.
              Aw crap...sorry ol' horse...

Charles Ping and myself run one that's based in the UK but not confined to the UK.

Visit the new Model Engineering adverts page at:-
                http://www.homeworkshop.org.uk/

Anyone is free to place an advert, there is no charge and it stays on for that month.
If you want to extend it just resubmit the advert the following month.

All adverts are vetted just for spam and the odd porn advert then placed on the web.

This service is completely free, no charges at all and everyone is free to use it.

                .

Having seen some of what passes as normal porn in the UK, the mind boggles at thoughts of what odd porn might encompass.

                        http://www.bbssystem.com/viewforum.php?f=3

A sub forum takes 30 seconds to make , I dont see why it has not been done here long ago.

[[A sub forum takes 30 seconds to make , ]] My thoughts exactly- but if Evan says no---then it must be so.

For several very good reasons to them, VP does not wish to have a For Sale section on this forum. That is OK with me.

eBay and Craig's List don't offer machining advice on their websites, and they have their own very good reasons for not doing that. That is OK with me too.
