Yup be fun to go. I am not sure I could go and NOT buy tho!! Dang that is some real nice stuff. Must have been a lifetime of work for the guy, a labor of love no doubt.

An auction of that size, the chances of getting close enough to see the engines will be slim. There will be bidders from all over the country there, and a lot from overseas as well.

There are a few tools listed at the end of the listing, but the owner is probably only selling the collection, and keeping the shop and tools and probably a couple of the best engines for himself.

            Good grief! He's a one-man engine show!

That looks like a pretty sizeable fortune tied up in engines. Wonder what the entire collection would bring, from a knowledgeable, well heeled buyer interested in the whole lot? ...not anyone I know, of course.

I've always wanted one or two to play around with. Wish KC were a little closer.

That guys name and the size of the collection sounds familar.

Isn't he, and it, famous amongst the antique engine folks?

Well, it's only a 30-45 minute drive for me, so I suppose I'll be going. Not that I can afford to buy anything, though.

I'm supposed to be laying sod that day....

                      Anyone else planning on going?
