Don't worry, it won't stay green for very long.

Now You'll have to paint the rest of the mill to match.
Wow... where did the time go. I could of swore I was only out there for an hour.

              Pimp My Mill

That's a nice color, Russ. You should get it color matched, but add some metal fleck to it and paint the mill with that. Then just chrome all the knobs, handles, pulleys, the table, select parts of your vise and rotary table and you're set. Maybe top it all off with spinners on the sides just for effect.

edit: I forgot. You also need to put a flip up LCD screen for the DVD player and also a touch screen tablet PC!

                Russ,

On the positive side, you'll be able to see it in the dark and won't trip over the mill.

OH MY GOODNESS Alis.....er I mean MadS! But...how do you compare your green to the "Royal Green" of my majestic new drive belt?
Funny though...both my mill and lathe are green. The lathe is a paricularly horrid shade of puke(or bile) green. Thankfully it is all falling off now and I'll have to paint it...ummm(green?)

                        If the paint's fallen off,why bother re-painting?
                        Where there's dirt,you can't see rust.
This was my brother's favorite quote in the days when we couldn't afford a decent car.Come to think of it,I still can't.
I prefer a nice medium blue myself. If I could be bothered to take my lathe apart, that's the colour it would be.But I can't ,so it won't.

Hans...the old Mcdougal lathe we are rebuilding is now mostly blue. Not my choice but it looks pretty good. Nice metallic automotive paint.
I'll be adding to the Mcdougal saga soon. I'm in the process of building a boring head to bore out the buggered front spindle bearing surfaces. It's turning out to be quite a project. Two hydraulic motors...one to run the lead screw to feed the boring head/shaft and the other to turn the boring bar itself.
Will have pics at 11....er well....when I getarountooit
