    faceplate on ebay

    Several months ago someone was selling cast iron faceplates on ebay. He had different versions to fit any spindle and you could choose whatever you wanted if you are high bidder. They started at $40.00. Back then I didn't need one. Now that I need one now, he is not listing them anymore. Does anyone remember who this person is and how I can reach him? I'd really appreciate it.

      Check out Bison faceplates at, for example, www.mscdirect.com . I'm not sure $40 is any great bargain.

        I know which one you're talking about on ebay and this is not it but Metal Lathe Accessories has faceplate castings:

        They seem to have a pretty good reputation if you believe what you read on-line
