Westech 2007

I was at the Westech show yesterday all day (8:30 to 5:00p.m.) and I do not think I got to see everything. Lots of new stuff. I am planning to make another stop if I get a chance. I spent a long while at the Hass booth waching the CNC mills with drooling facination. Last year I saw their Office Mill and wanted one (dreaming!!) but after looking at their Mini CNC mill, The office mill is out. It is too small of a spindle (20 taper). The new dream is the starter mini mill with a 40 taper spindle at 6000 rpm. I have already started saving for one!!.I will find the garage space later. The show was great and alot of eye candy. Just got back from Westech a few hours ago !

Yup, spent a lot of time at the Haas machines too. Way too cool to watch them, especially flinging large chips at the windows. Got a buncha video's I'll have to get uploaded so you folks can see them in action.

There didn't seem to be as much Asian manufacturers present as there has been in past years. Then again maybe I'm imagining things
