Taper turning

Just a quick quesiton, I'm looking for nice easy simple but relitivly accurate ways to set the compound to 1.5" per foot of taper, i know a few ways to do it, but most are long winded so i was wondering if there were any hints out there on quick setting of tapers.

I use a sine plate. Hold plate in chuck and indicate base parallel with travel. Then indicate compound to sine plate and you have your angle to the limits of your sine plate and gauge blocks. At 1.5" per foot it should be pretty accurate even with cheap plate and space blocks.
