OT YouTube signup-- All usernames I try are unavailable

If you dont want others to rip off your videos and repost them you have to do the paperwork first.

I am pissed at them over some stolen stuff and just dont post anything there anymore.

I experienced the same problem

I eventually picked something like s1111555zzzz out of total frustration. It's in my cookies so I don't have to remember it.
I'm a little surprised that some of the more meaningful names I selected were already taken since they were still fairly obscure. I just find it hard to believe that they were all taken.

I tried all those suggestions just now, and they all came back with "username unavailable!" I even tried some with random numbers scattered in with the letters. Nothing works.

I didn't have any trouble signing up with Google, so I don't think it's anything in my computer blocking the signup process. I've also deleted all the temp files, cookies, form info, passwords, etc, and restarted the computer. I still can't get anything to work.

I would think that names like "bridgeportcrasher", "masochistmochinist" or "Ihaveasmallweenie" are probably available.

No time to try it, but some places will let you have ascii characters in your username, kind of a pain I guess, but maybe that will work. If you're not familiar with ascii characters just do a google search, off of memory you can do the infinity sign by holding down the alt key and typing in the numbers 236 alt236=∞

Yeah, that's correct, but you have to create a youtube account and link it to your google account to upload stuff. Still can't get past the "username unavailable!" problem.

The title says it all. How can you sign up when every username is unavailable? I've tried at least fifty combinations or letters and numbers, some make sense and most are just random.

Of course, there's nothing in Help that helps, and trying to contact them just leads around in circles.
