      Here it is.

There were 6 pics but they were three duplicates, so I reduced the image count to three.

It looks like and end-cap that is fitted to the end flange on/for a pipe or valve.

I agree. That is a blind pipe flange for terminating the end of a pipe run that has been abandoned for some reason. Could also be used as a clean-out flange where excessive sediment is expected. It is not hardened, but it would make a good beater block for your workbench.

Boy hole cover? As opposed to a man type hole cover?

Tinkerer, good to see you still around. Don't be such a stranger.

Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

It is true, there is nothing free about freedom, don't be so quick to give it away.

                eh..... imagination required........

large gear blank. Several small gear blanks cleverly disguised as one big one.

                Flywheel blank

That's just the ones that came up first from it being round...... generic term "raw material".

Obviously depends on material type. Steel vs CI is a start. Most of such should be steel, but a CI one is possible.

It does look like the old style stainer covers that we had on the swimming pools in the high schools, pre and right after WWII vintage pumps. Or as been stated a flange blank. And for the last day of a sale ya payed to much. shred is going for .06 cents a pound

Looks like a land mine, use a soft hammer for beating on it.

Definitely not a standard pipe flange, holes are WAY too small and not near enough to the edge. Don't know what it is tho.

I used to do aluminum flanges for a foundry that were used on swimming pools. They started out looking like that less the bolt holes.

That was a good paying job that disappeared. I finally scraped out the fixtures for them.
