Knot funny - but informative none the less. I do like the photos that step one though the knots. Some of those look like a bear to untie.

Did you hear about the rope that tired to get a drink at a bar? They kept kicking him out. So he ruffled up his hair and stormed back in. The bartender said "hey, your that string that keeps asking for beer aren't you.." The rope replied "I'm a-frayed-knot!"

Me thinks it was someone's quote, on here, the other day:

'If you can't tie a knot, tie a lot'

            Knotting

            Good info Alistair.

If you do succeed in "getting knotted", do be careful that someone doesn't tip a bucket of water over you!!!

I love it! It reminds me of my old Boy-Scout days. Somewhere (up in the attic, I think) I have a display board of 20-25 knots that I tied and mounted for a merit badge. Now that was some 40-odd years ago so this was a real interesting memory exercise for me.

Thanks for reminding me of that site Alistair.
Lots of other interesting knotty stuff (if you are into that sort of thing !) is here.
Although I wouldn't trade all the websites for the copy of Ashley's Book of Knots that sits under my living room chair !
