  • OT:Wierd printer behavior

Thanks to the help here I got back on line and can see my tax data(Quicken) but can't print it out for backup.I can print everything else including help files from the Quicken program, screen capture,Word Pad etc. This always printed before with the Canon Printer that crashed. This is an older Epson 860 that always worked well on another computer.I had to install the software on the computer that had the problems--- On trying to print the registers in Quicken I get error(Cant communicate with printer)I thought I was a little computer savvy but now I'M wondering.--Is this a quirk with Quicken changing file types or something?

After posting I did more searching and found that this seems to be a Quicken problem since the quicken data files are Quicken connected but the help files are not which explains the disparity of one working and not the other.A number of solutions were found. The simplest which worked was to go to hidden files and locate a file called wpr.dat and rename to wpr.old and that was it.You live and learn-thanks all.
