I know nothing about these photos except they showed up in my wife's e-mail from a friend. Not a clue where they came from.

Well, I guess everybody has to be doing something.

I've seen plenty of more meaningless pastimes, even engaged in a few myself.

Looks like it took some talent and imagination to get those results.

I don't know what else you could do with a bunch of old watches other than turn them a small amt. of scrap.
He is probably a watchmaker/jeweler that has more time on his hands than customers.

How should we all spend our time here on this planet?
Should we be hugging trees? , staring at the universe in amazement?, racking our brains why we even exist??

            No, hell no!!
Building cool little bike art from old watch parts is what it's really all about my friends!

Many moons ago my then girlfriend gave me a present of a framed model/picture of a steam locomotive made from watch & clock parts, I think there was a bit of a fashion for such things then (over 30 years ago).
May still have it, not seen it for a long time though.

yes, us who pursue self indulgent, impractical hobbies requiring gobs of time and capital while making thousands of posts on an internet forum ought not to find fault with how others squander their time
                .

Totally agree Mcgyver! That is artwork IMO just like any other form of art.
                  Whoever made those has talent.
