The bull gear has to come off it, and then it comes out through the door, after a LOT of things come off the shaper. All of the stuff on the S7-1A comes off, along with the outer bearing, which can be a real pain to remove.
if you are going to replace the bearing cone, you will probably have to split it. it was shrunk on.3751 6193 2700 3517

You gotta get the assembly OUT first........
Then you can use a Dremel with thin cutoff wheel to groove the old bearing. When the groove gets deep it will probably crack by itself. Mine did.
You can't press it off, because you can't get behind it.3751 6193 2700 3517

I presume you've removed housing S7-25D and all its parts, and shaft S7-58 and it's parts. That should leave just the S7-11A flange with the S7-171A bearing in it.
Sleeve S7-71A passes through outer bearing S7-171A. Is that loose or is S7-71A stuck in the outer bearing? You may need something like this to push that shaft through the outer bearing:

The jaws would clamp on the rim of the flange, and a bushing of some kind would be needed to protect the S7-71A sleeve from damage by the puller. Or you could make a bushing and use a dead blow hammer to drive it out. I'd try the puller first.

That was my hassle...... it took a week of a gear puller and PBlaster to shift that outer bearing.
Every day a bit of a turn on the puller, and a shot of PBlaster. Finally it came loose with a bang.3751 6193 2700 3517
