Hi,
I have an old series 100 MK2 12x36 quick change lathe.
This apron has the push / pull handle and clutch wheel for carriage and cross slide feed.
I need to remove the apron to replace the key in the shaft and gear above the carriage handwheel. This is the shaft with the gear/pinion that is meshed into the rack along the bottom of the bed.
After removing the four screws on top and the lead screw bearing at the end of the bed would the apron then slide off of the leadscrew?
Anyone have any experience in removing this apron?
Angelo
