I buy from an office supply store, Heavy cardboard Boxes made for Magazines. Called "Magazine File" or "Bankers Boxes".
They stand up-rite and hold about 3 years worth of HSM.
They also have a place to put a Label.
I think their about $6-$10 each, a little spendy maybe, but worth it to me.
I have a full set of HSM and these keep the Magazines nice and straight and organized, and look good on the shelf.

I have a few different hobby magazines that I keep forever. I went to K-Mart and got a cheap 4 drawer file cabinet, it works great for me (takes up a little space, but whatever). Now I can keep things sorted and organized, I even have a little index of the mags and articles that I thought I might want to go back to someday (I'm not quite anal enough to index all of them, yet). I also have a section for all of my tool manuals and warranties and such, that has been a real time saver.

                magazine rack?

I use the binders sold by home shop machinist. Can't beat them for looking nice on the shelve. And price is not all that bad.

A simple rack that holds a year's worth of DM, HSM, MW and LS&OR. Issues older than a year go into pocket files in a 4-drawer file cabinet.

I have a custom made, climate controlled, acid free, earth friendly and expensive data storage and retrieval system for mine. They are also insured, cataloged and individual pages wrapped in acid free Saran Wrap. They only leave their encasement on Sundays when I am most relaxed and the time lock vault opens at 1 PM EST. The time is automatically adjusted for DST.

I fear we are digging down deep into the bowels of the cauldron of available topics to discuss!

I keep each year's worth in a ziploc plastic bag, in a cardboard "periodicals" box, on a shelf.

I take a "medium" mailing box from UPS or Fedex and cut it in half (I'll let you figure out "which half". Can't take all the fun out of this.........). Seal up the ends (they have self sealing ends) and slip the mags into it. Fits great and I get 2 halfs that hold about 2 yrs each of most mags of HSM or MW thickness.

                          The best part is...........they're FREE.......

Oh......and did I say that they stand up on a shelf.......just like those "expensive" holders..........
