  • Anyone put a J head on a millrite?

I read somewhere someone put a J head on a millrite. What all does it take to make it happen?

Kind of Top heavy for a lighter machine like a Millrite...

The Millrite head is a Decent design. Looks to have bigger/stiffer Spindle and Bearings than a J head...

Millrites had optional 30 Taper spindles.. why fool with a Scrawny R8?

If its a 10 B&S, probably can be reground for R8... If Morse, tooling is easily found... B&S 9 is not too hard to get tooling for...

In regards to Speeds, a Three Phase Motor and a VFD will take care of that for normal Home shop use.
