  • old Seattle company selling off inventory, tools

Industrial Rebuild, Inc., on 1st Ave. So. near the stadiums, was a great old small-engine specialist, a place we hate to lose, but the owner finally feels he has to retire. When I was there the other day, they had a tub-skid full of nothing but piston rings on the way to the recycler, and they said they have enough rings to fill two more tub-skids. There are ancient lathes, good big vises, a bead-blast cabinet, a Forney buzz-box welder, miscellaneous old engines in various states, and much more. They will close the doors in a week or two, so if you're in the area, go check it out during the week, normal business hours.

I'll try to drop in over there later today and take some pictures.

I remember that place. I ran into a very patient parts guy there that took the time to deal with a curious 12 year old.
