  • Question for UK members. When did CVA

When did the Lathe manufacture CVA close? Gary P. Hansen
In memory of Marine Engineer Paul Miller who gave his life for his country 7-19-2010 Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Freedom is not free, it is paid for with blood.

How long is a piece of string?
They went through several stages, including getting into bed with Kearney & Trecker, and when that operation folded the CVA toolroom lathe manufacture was continued by a company caled E H Cole ltd, they finished making the lathe some time in the 1980s. I've no idea whether they or anyone else took on any of CVAs other products.
There's some fairly detailed history on the web, I can't find the links right now but I expect someone will be along with them in a bit.
