  • single phase oil cooled welder

What are the advantages of an oil cooled welder to an air cooled and which is best. Are these just obsolete now with the invention of mig welders.A neighbour of mine has three all single phase one is single and three phase combined are they any good he has asked me if I would be interested in them.He told me the oil cooled are better as they don't stick when welding and he has three as he needs them for different thicknesses.Any info would be useful.Alistair

Buy a modern invertor type welder so you can TIG, Stick, or MIG. Leave the antiques to people looking for "bargains".
