  • Gentlemen...

I would like to thank all who responded to my stainless question. I am a 4th generation rancher and I can ranch but I can't run a lathe, though it has always been my dream. I use to go to my friends machine shop and spend my lunch hour just watching. One day the owner was kidding me and asked me if I could run one of his lathes. I said sure. I set out to show him all that I had learned by "watching" over the years. He was amazed.
    I am still learning.
I have moved and miss my "watching" at the shop. I have bought a Clausing and now I am putting to practice what I "watched" for years. I should have watched more closely!:> ) :> )
You gentlemen have kind of filled that void and I am gratefull!!
    Thanks Gentlemen!!

Hey, anytime we can help warp your mind just ask! Just remember while you are having fun that lathes and mills are just as dangerous as farm equipment - follow all the safety rules. Better to stray on the side of caution than seriously hurting yourself from a moment of "short attention span" - no one needs that kind of excitement!
