  • Machine tool shops

When I want to buy cheap machine tools, I browse ebay (worldwide) and US/british tool shops mainly. But since the products i'm looking for is mainly chinese made it would be better buying directly from that part of the world. Not only is the tool prices less, but the shipping is less too.

I know of one webshop of this kind, and it's CTC Tools in Hong Kong.

CTC Tools seem great (low prices, fair shipping), but they don't carry all kinds of tools (quite limited range really).
I'm looking for machine vises, maybe lathe cutting tools, lathe chucks and general tools for the lathe, mill and workshop.

Does anyone know of other shops in the far east that sells machine tools to individuals at fair prices?

Oh, the irony, a testimonial from PracticalMachinist! From CTC's home page:

I bought a chuck and set of ER25 collets from CTC Tools. He's based out of Hong Kong. The collets and chuck are advertised as having a runout tolerance of 0.015mm (0.0006"). As nearly as I can tell they are at least that good. I've been very happy with them."

Their collet set is ridiculously priced. You can get fifteen ER25 collets for the price of just one here!

          China tools

          Thomas.

More often than not when I look for a tool (Chinese or not) or just a tool, I often get a list of agencies - in China - such as alibaba.com

I tried Google (what else?) and here is the result:
          http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...G=Search&meta=

Of course, if you are intrepid and like to live dangerously, you could at least try to post your request on PM.
