Who are you kidding, Mcgyver - you don't have room for that 10EE. Tell ya what, because I'm feeling generous, I'll drive all the way up to Canada with a drop deck and take it off your hands. I won't even charge you for the service.

That 10EE sure is a beauty. I can't wait to see what you do to it - if it turns out half as nice as the Atlas, it will be beautiful.

Nice haul for sure! I hope you can hang onto the shaper, too! Then you will have a damn near complete shop.

So that's why there's no room for the shaper. If you'd have asked, I'd have been happy to store that Monarch in my shop for you!

There is still open floor there!

Congrats on the new equipment. As for the Boss, you might play around a little with it and see if it runs. I wouldn't do too much if you think that you will be converting it. I keep trying to get to a conversion project on mine but work keeps popping up. Maybe this winter. Oh to dream about cuter comp.

    rock~

Nice shop, but a little modern as compared to mine. I am almost lost if it doesn't have a cone pulley.

Wood chunks,, Bicycles ,, and lawn nutrients ,,fertilizers DO NOT belong in youre Machine Shop. You need a Garden shed for that stuff. I can see with some rearanguing you would have room for one more Machine .l.

    thanks guys,

man i like that shop! tons of stuff in it, but still room to get around.
hehe, there's a few pinch points where you have to turn sideways, I'd love more space and dislike having everything so jammed, but I'd dislike not having the machine more. I definitely had the sense on this last round that I've gone too far

wow, i never realized chevalier was a taiwanese company...
oh yes , complete with chinglish typos...I believe all their stuff is made there. this is my second chevalier grinder not bad, better than mainland and not as good as Brit/Cdn/US old stuff. my plan is through restorative efforts and maybe even spindle bearings replacement to treat it as a set of castings

    School Green?

That Std Modern is looking a bit on the small side so the Monarch is truly a "beast". I didn't realize how hefty they are.

Congratulations on some nice additions to your shop.

check out the new old iron

been holding out on you guys. Moving the damn stuff was tough. I moved by prybar on rollers the big cnc mill which by the time i got to the top of the 60' driveway weight 10,000 lbs i swear. It would've killed a regular man. Anyway, finally recovered enough to get the top back on it (so it'd clear my 7' door) get some pics taken. 3 pieces of iron crying out for some TLC and to be brought back to their glory. lathe is a 100ee, 1941 with taper attachment chucks etc. electrics were removed but gearbox is still there and it came with a AC 5hp motor, VFD needed, mill is an 80's solid ram bport series I cnc. A beast. may get the boss 5 working, may let it sit until i want to spend the big bucks on a servo conversion. T&CG is Taiwanese but decent quality. taking the airbearing off my bench top T&CG and it has motorized work head so should be able to grind about anything. Found a spot for the shaper so maybe it stays.

at the end, snapped a couple of pics will up on top the mill putting it back together - this has become one crowded shop!

Working...
