Maybe someone here can shed some light on this- My roomate has intermittent migraine-like headaches. It will come on suddenly and be intense, with some dizziness, etc, then it will dissipate. Today she had an episode that lasted about a minute or two. This has happened several times now. She's 21 and without any real health problems, at least that I know about or can be seen.
I have my own little episodes with sharply defined, very bright, often lightning bolt looking spikies in my eyes. Usually just one eye, but sometimes both, and usually very strong only in one eye. It can last up to an hour or so, but usually not more than maybe ten minutes. On average, I'd say this happens about once a year, and there doesn't seem to be any lasting effects from it.
Not too concerned for myself, but for her at such a young age, I'm hoping this isn't too serious. Any ideas?
