    Bob,

    I read a while ago on your CNC Cookbook that you are contemplating the building of a fixture plate for your mill. Have you started this yet and if so can you share some of your wisdom gained from this endeavor? I am looking at starting a fixture plate and am in the planning stages.

      Here is another reference to a subplate build with alot of good comments and viewpoints.

      I was interested in how a HSM would do it and keep everything lined up while working outside the dimensions of the machines work envelope. ie if your "Y" travel is 20" but your subplate is 26" to allow for maximum clamping space.
