  • Gack!!

I just made a left hand inside acme thread blind fitting to fit the end of the crossfeed lead screw on my South Bend 9" model C. What a PITA! Caught **** from wife for using the wrong grinding wheel to make the tool, but it worked. News at eleven.

The wife gave you crap for using the wrong grinding wheel? Did you use her knife sharpining wheel? Or is she one of those wonderfull gals that we have all been looking for that is a good machininst? I wish that my wife could run a turret lathe! Just think of all of the stuff that I could have her get done for me!

        Rock,

She sells grinding wheels. Dont't mess with her when it comes to abrasives. She knows more than I have forgot.

Oh yeah, it's almost eleven, somewhere. The project is progressing well. As usual, it is way more difficult than I thought at first. It will work.
