OT - Governor Arnold

In the Sylvester Stallone movie, Demolition Man, they mention the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library. Something about Arnold becoming prez after they changed the constitution.

I think this change in the fabric of the U.S. would be difficult to passed.

Lets see how Arnold does as governor before changing the constitution.

It does not seen to relate directly to Ahnold.......

I do not personally agree with changing the constitution for any purpose in the forseeable future....A constitutional convention would be a mistake for anyone interested in having a United States.....

Past that comment I cannot make any further statement at this time.

I have a brother-in-law that lives and ownes a small business in Ca. For what its worth, If he dosen't screw up any more than the last Asshole has then he will be a Savior!!

I was a bit concerned when I saw that website because it is a "socialist" website and they may have their "socialist" agenda. However there are some other websites and especially a website by the family of the murdered man that had lots of information. The facts are only interesting in relation to Schwarzenegger if you become aware of what people and our governments are capable of doing. The only way to understand is to learn of what has happened in the past. If you believe that these things never have happened and never will again then it is easy to ignore until it is too late to stop it. Bush Cheney and Rumsfeld have been doing things like this for decades. None of these things would come to light if sometimes a sheep didn't stray from the herd.

It does make me a little paranoid. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Don’t let the past repeat. Learn what you can learn, and know what you can know.

Spence, it ain't only the Bushies....they are ALL like that...Clinton was the same, Reagan was the same, Carter didn't want to, but had to be the same......for sure Eisenhower was the same, and before that it was the norm, since the media were very limited.

Really any president is a figurehead. The agencies and large federal bureaucracy is what runs the place, and starts those great programs like TIA.

A president rapidly finds out that he has a little less influence on those organizations than the junior janitor.

Even if the head man is replaced, the real stuff is happening 3 to 6 layers down. He will never even know, quite possibly. No one person can know, any more than anyone can *really* know what happens when Windows runs on a computer....

The middle managers run the government, and hence your life.

Major shakeups just are hiccups in the middle management world, they can absorb anything and keep right on chugging along. There is always another one to pick it up if one is fired or dies. Like ants or termites.
