  • The old Ohio is gone....

Helped get it loaded and into the guys shop last night.
It looked pretty cool...hoisted up in the air by a big arse picker truck!
I was a little sad to see the old girl leave...but I'm happy now...wow!
It's new home is a brand new shop....owned by a young customer I did a lot of business with.
The ol' girl is in a good place.
The guy is so proud of his new mill!
He's going to really enjoy the old girl!
I'm glad to see a young guy take so much interest in this old piece of history.

      Oh ya...The new place I'm going...Regina...
I talked to Bob who frequents the PM board...he lives there and dabbles in used machinery.
Heh heh heh...he let it slip that he has a shed full of old horizontals that he can't get rid of...WOOT WOOT!
      More history in the making?????

Russ, I asked you this by PM, but you avoided the question -- I hope you got to keep your beloved Ironworker?

Yeah a little sad to see a bit of your past leave alright.
Nice to know it's going to a home where it will be appreciated rather than have it rusting away in a yard.

Robert...ya I'm keeping it so far.
Shop rent is ridiculously high out there so my new start up idea is on hold for now anyway.
Machinery is a lot cheaper and more abundant out there than here.
The local buy and sell there has 3 lathes in it right now...one a CNC.
I'm just going to go to work for awhile welding and keep an eye on the business climate and maybe look for a cheaper shop somewhere...don't know yet.
