  • OT - Windows 7 question

Had a virus slip past AVG on my XP laptop. Blocked access to System Restore, regedit and only let IE open a window to its own anti-virus sales page. I guess I'm too old school to understand the business model of "We screwed up your computer so we now expect you to buy our anti-virus software." Anyway, the little f$$kers (technical term) put their EXE near the end of the line on startup so when I rebooted I was able to open regedit before their software loaded to block it, identify and manually delete their program. If it wasn't for regedit I'd have been screwed.

Does Windows 7 still have regedit?

    Thanks.
    Steve.

    Yes! It still has regedit.
