  • source for thin-walled aluminum tubing ??

    Does anyone know of a good online source for thin-walled aluminum tubing?
    O.D. = 29mm (1.140 in)
    I.D. = 28mm (1.100 in)
    that leaves a nice .5 mm wall thickness (.020)
    Yippie !!!!

    I don't remember seeing any drawn tubing with that thin a wall.

    The closest AircraftSpruce.com has is 0.035 wall and 1.18 OD or 0.049 wall and 1.152 OD.

    I didn't see anything here

    but it might be worth a call.

      It exists. That is very close to the dimensions of the anodized 7075 tubing I used for the mast and boom of the sail rig on my canoe. It's used in such items as the very long handles on swimming pool skimmer nets for cleaning up floating leaves and such.
