  • Just a big boring bar and tool holder that I made. 12L14 for the tool holder and an old hydraulic cylinder rod for the bar.

Oh, yea, I capped both ends of the hollow bar and filled with lead shot.

    Cheers.

    Cheers,

    • Here is something I made this week to adapt a Starrett 711 Last Word Indicator to the common dovetail style magnetic indicator holders. The body is made from 303 SS and the knob and screw are brass. Now I can use my 711 with commonly available holders. It also gives the indicator more range of movement which is handy for set up.

          • LMAO...you may have made 1 of my old chipping hammers...swear to God I had1 that looked exactly like this 1...
I sure wish I still had it, but lost it in 1993 on O`ahu after leaving "Pinerdige Farms Inc." a construction hauling co.
I once worked for as a driver & welder... It was an excellent chipping hammer by the way...

                      • What do the hydraulic rams do? Does it all collapse?
edit : now I see, telescopic vertical post. Nice.

                        • Yea, I almost killed myself trying to raise the beam to the next notch. So I decided to add those hydraulic rams. I designed the crane to just miss the lights in the ceiling, and go low enough to pass under my garage door, so I can make future picks outside as well.
                          Cheers,

                          • I finally found a good fit for all the angle grinders. Mounted on the back side of the plasma table.
