Now there's a though that had not occurred to me --of what importance is it if a pix is posted on more then one forum?
That's not to be argumentative at all, it just never occurred to me that it might matter --so long as it really is the same person and actually it is his work.
I know that some of these tools are used in book form (and nicely done I might add), so I would suppose it would eliminate or make difficult gaining copyright for publishing, but aside from that, does it really matter?
It may, I just have never thought about that situation before --other then some past credit on another site being taken as another persons work --that would (and did) clearly matter, a bunch.
Zero.

This is not the thread for this discussion. There are voluminous discussion WRT some of these points already in the archive. Feel free to start another discussion in the open forum to address this if you still have questions.

I didn't think anyone on PM used "Shars" brand tooling. Haha
I'm sure I have not invented anything new and to whomever first had this idea thank you for making things easier.Last edited by Rootpass; 06-02-2014, 01:48 PM.One step ahead of the HOA

It really isn't of any huge significance that it was posted on another forum. I just found it interesting that it was posted here with the indicator being the main focus and over on PM it was the scotch brite pad to keep the ways clean that was pointed out. It also appeared to be posted by someone different.
I also feel that as the person who started this thread I should be able to post as I see fit.

A project for Mama
http://liamgillespie.deviantart.com/...Mama-464333933
this is how I pay for the space my workshop takes up in our house. I also owe her a pasta drying rack for her home-made pasta. Such a hard life!
Got the pieces at home depot yesterday while buying the lumber I need to put together the core of my workshop. A new workbench. I've been sort of getting by with a lot of rickety expedients, but now I'm building a 4x4 legged heavy bench with a 2x4 top. I have a smallish 5" blacksmith's leg vise and a small (6"?) Craftsman woodworkers vice that will be mounted to it at (probably) opposite ends, and drawers will eventually be constructed like Ray Moungovan shows in his book "Shop Savvy." Plywood floors running in dadoed cabinet sides. Fast, easy, cheap (relatively) and strong.
I've spent the past week's spare time reading through this thread, and getting motivated. The bench and the reorganization it's required and will yet require will give me access to my HF 7x10 lathe, Atlas MF milling machine, Lewis Shaper, and my dad's drill press and anvil, and even some space to work.
Glenn, you've got more clear empty space in your shop than I do in my whole house. Could make a guy jealous all by itself, and then you have so MANY cool tools, too! Another poster mentioned his to-do list growing, and mine has done the same. Thanks!

Hahahaha Bill;
It get's very interesting trying to build handrails in my shop with all that 'extra' empty space
Eventually, I'll add an extra shop connected to the back, sorta forming an L-shape (due to property constraints), that should provide the room needed for a Vertical Machining Center. I even have the OK from the wife! That's always a bonus and hasn't always been the case over the years
