Camp Perry it may not be. But at Perry several hundred teens are sent out on their own by their coaches to the line every day for a week; no injuries and more than a few National top level awards ...Every Year....we never see that in regular media...Any Year.
Some of these youth do their own firearms machine and maint. work too. Whew on topic again.

Camp Perry is pretty amazing. My dad and I went one day to look at it back around 1965...gawd, I'm getting old... ;-)

There was a sign, driving out of the gate, something to the effect, "You are leaving the world's safest rifle ranges and entering dangerous highways. Please drive carefully."

Its funny how people always pick on the sten and yet most people who have stens love them and find them both highly reliable and not the least ammo sensative. I love listening to H&K snobs talk about owning the finest SMG made and being so glad that they finally found the ammo that their gun will work reliably with.

If the sten had been invented by the Germans, people would be amazed at the simplicity and brilliance of the design.

I have been to Knob Creek, it's a lot of fun and you get to see how deadly this stuff is, plus you see what is real and not that movie stuff or TV fake stuff.

If you go take a lot of cash, it can be costly to squeeze off a few rounds.

As to Camp Perry, that is where you will find some of the best shooters in the world. They can hit targets that I have a hard time seeing even with my glasses on. Try hitting a D size target at a thousand yards with an M-1 Garand.
