  • OT, touch screen on MyTouch phone.

I'm wondering about the screen on my T-Mobile MyTouch phone.

The keyboard is so small it's hard to type (with my giant finger tips).

I tried a pencil eraser, didn't work. Nothing seems to work except finger tips. The T-Mobile tech line girl says it's heat sensitive (I don't have much faith in the tech line support).

Any ideas how they work? And, are there any small pen-like devices available to type with?

If it's the same as an IPhone touch screen then I think it is electrical, probably capacitance. The reason the tech support says pressure is that you have to "tap" your finger on the screen, presumably to make good contact. However if you use something wet or damp (lick your finger) it does not require tapping.

    Based on a short experiment.
