  • surface finish symbol question

    Hey guys

I'm working on converting a European cad drawing so we can read it easier. I am having an issue figuring out a symbol. In the notes section for the drawing it shows the following
    3.2 _
    __/
    \/

    It's after "Surface Finish:"

just imagine all of the lines are connected and the 3.2 is right on top of the triangle. I've been told by a Bulgarian friend of mine that he's seen that symbol used in measuring threads, but not anything with surface finish.

I appreciate any help you guys can give me

It's a surface finish symbol. It means surface finish of 3.2 micrometers.
