Fixed the broken exhaust on the plow heep. Just like Andy's work.... . Still need to weld it, but ran out of time today. If I did it at the start of the summer like I should have... I could have just went with the iron oxide fusion process.


Next thing to tackle is the frame at the back. Not sure this ones got another winter in it.......




Once I weld that exhaust up, it just might be the most structurally sound piece on the whole damn thing lol. But it still runs fine, the heater puts out just enough to keep the window defrosted, and the radio works great. 4 more payments, and she's aaaaaallllll mine. (just kidding, it cost less than a snowblower)

A bit of metal tape and a coat of paint and it'll be good as new.

That is a seriously good question lol. I don't know, but I'm scared to open the passenger side door . At this point I'd consider the "structure" of it more like a teepee, with all members leaning against each other for strength. Remove one or more, and the whole thing come crumbling down. There's no floor anymore, and I swear the whole body shifted forward a good inch after hitting a solid bank last year.

I thought the other side was better as it had no visible holes, but I put my thumb through it with ease.

I think the carmakers must subsidize the road salt budget

That Wrangler rust out at the rear hanger is a known defect in some years of Wranglers. You can buy fix it kits for it.

Do you have to sit in a bath of water with it to shrink it on, like you do with levi 501's?

Cold weather has arrived, so time to split some wood. This is a chunk of the locust tree that almost crushed my car in June 2017. Took a faw whacks to get the maul to dig in and start the split:

Took a look in my "outhouse shed". There is a lot of lumber in there, but a Herculean task to get it out. I'll probably use it to build the 4x8 yard machine shed.


Once darkness fell, I had another thought about the window. I have a lot of white ceramic tiles that might look good for the window sill. I'll also use some wood for the front part of the sill. I have a piece of stair tread large enough for that.

That reminds me of one of the locos we had in work just before I left, Tata port talbot, I preferred the old alco American units, like the p51 mustang they worked brilliantly with a rolls Royce engine.
