Sounds like someone isn't playing with any "pusssey" in your house HA- the forum tried to block it out..

        • I made a video:

*** I always wanted a welding stinger that looked like the north end of a south bound chicken. Often my welds look like somebody pointed the wrong end of a chicken at the joint and squeezed until something came out. Might as well look the part.

To be fair, it had been 13 days since he last posted a picture of his cats in this thread. (Personally, I find the cat pictures a lot more interesting than the picture of a coffee maker sitting on his desk.)

                  • Just got in from playing a bit on my new toy. Finally after 8 years out in the country directly on a snowmobile trail having sleds constantly whip back and forth in front of the driveway I joined the club. Picked up a near mint condition 1999 VMAX 600 friday night. More than enough sled for me, and what I'm going to use it for. Bring on the snow.

I'm failing to recall anything of interest you've ever contributed here. Sounds like lakeside nailed it.

                          • Started the day with a find, I'd bought a new wheelbarrow tyre and inner tube a couple of years back, and turned out I'd thought ahead and bought a spare, so when it shredded this year, I could fit the spare feeling smug.
Then used it moving my winter wood & stacking it in the woodstore, then swept my barn floor and wheelbarrowed all the left over bark from where it was delivered onto the smaller pear tree's to try and keep their root systems protected over winter. Then I moved my camper van back in, and checked its electrical system was working as the vehicle mains telltale wasn't lit, to find the float charger has gone U/S and was tripping out the mains power breaker on it, so I'll put a battery tender on the leisure & traction batteries for overwintering to stop the batteries getting frost damaged if they get too flat and put a new 12v supply in next spring.

Then I moved my old landrover 90 back into the barn and started stripping off the turbo and exhaust manifold to fix a manifold->head leak thats been bugging me for ages. When this is done next week, I'll give the old girl a once over and get her inspected in time for winter proper to hit for her last "controle technique" as a normal vehicle, as being 29 years old, she qualifies to become a collectors vehicle with 5 yearly inspection intervals and appropriate levels of brake/emissions performance requirements in place of yearly ones and modern standards which are always a worry to pass. This is my winter emergency vehicle and probably does less than 2000 miles a year so its usually just a matter of small jobs, maybe steam the worst of the moss that lives on the paintwork off, fire a few cartridges of grease into everything with a nipple and sorting the worst of the oil leaks out so it only marks its territory in the expected 5 places.

About then I noticed the wheelbarrow had a flat tyre, so blew it back up, and it went straight back down. Guess I should have bought a punctureproof wheel instead. Smug feeling totally disappeared.

Now, I can feel my shoulders glowing with the work, but I'm going to fix that with some 80% proof white rum and some coke and watch some tv with the wife. Be rude not to. I count this as a really good end to a weekend, back to the digital salt mines in the am for me

                            • in keeping with the "what did your cats do today" theme, here are two of mine

this weekends project - making and installing a rain barrel and gutters on my shed. It's a crappy shed built on the tilt (hence the crazy gutter angle), but it came with the house and doesn't cost anything to keep it. The barrel will feed a drip line for the 2 beds, flowers in the front and strawberries at the back, plus some more raised beds that I've yet to make. Total cost was $7.50 for the tap and whatever 2 pieces of guttering cost me last year when I did the porch.

pleased as punch with it and happy to get it off my house+garden "to do" list
