I already have a drawer that I keep my standard fasteners in, just looking to do something for the smaller cap screws. I'd like to have a nice assortment of cap screws up to 3/8".
I got a bunch of these for storing overflow and they are quite nice considering the price. All of the vertical dividers are removable so it's easy to size the compartments for the volume you want to put in each one. These are the biggest stackable units I could find. I'm not sure if they will hold up to frequent use, but they are definitely good for storing away duplicates/overflow that you don't need access to frequently. They might last if you don't care about the latches lasting:

Amazing deals on this 24 Compartment Large Storage Container at Harbor Freight. Quality tools & low prices.

    • Yes those ^ The $4 containers is what I was looking at. However, I hate when there isn't enough room for that last 'a little bigger' fastener. I have to take a closer look at the selection next trip to HF.

After watching your video I am really psyched over your upcoming visit! You are going to be so proud of yourself when you get my stuff sorted.

I still have to sort tons of endmills, taps/dies, reamers, large drill bits, helicoils, carbide inserts, and other auction goodies.

            All sorted and labeled: 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", M-8. M-10, M-12, and M-16 hardware

I think I now need to sort/label all my endmills, taps/dies, reamers, and large drill bits.
Did you just post a video of a bunch of hardware sitting on a shelf?

Yesterday I had it slung with a strap close to the chuck and lifted it a few inches to get it balanced. Good thing it was only up about 3 inches because it started to rotate in the sling. If it had been much higher it would have gone all the way over and I hate to think of all the bad things that would have ensued. Luckily, the mounting bolt tabs hit the chip pan bottom and stopped the roll, and somehow, I was able to summon enough strength to roll it back upright and lower it back down. Also I am thankful for the day that God inspired me to add a brake when I was building my shop cane. If I had been using one of those HF engine hoists, it would have rolled backwards and the whole works would have been on the floor.
Got the lathe turned around. Kept it from rolling over by chucking a length of 1" diameter shafting and double wrapping the lifting chains around the bed with two of the chains bolted together to trap the shaft. It worked but I sweat bullets until it was done. I was too busy to take pics, but will try to remember to do so when it gets turned back around. Now on to figuring out what's wrong with the electrics.

There's nothing wrong with the electrics....and it'll work perfectly until you turn it back round again. It just doing it for attention!

I hate that you said that because it was exactly what I was thinking. At least I hope to get the DRO scale installed now.

Of course not. It's a video of a bunch of hardware stored in poly bins hanging on a wall. You must have watched the wrong video.

I wish! If I can get the kids to do some then that would be really cool.
