I wanted a dedicated tool to keep an aluminum turning insert in so I’d would not have to index ever time I was turning aluminum. I found a tool on EBay but it had more damage and no hardware. So I made a video to document what I did to make the tool useable.

But used and banged up insert holders are not worth a penny when you can get usable new ones even for CNMG inserts even for less than 10 usd per piece.Location: Helsinki, Finland, Europe

Made a new holesaw arbor for the mill, scrap piece of 1-7/16" 1045 steel.Turned a male pilot that just fits inside the 5/8-18 thread in the holesaws, then drilled and tapped two 1/4-20 holes for a couple 3/4" long socket head capscrews.
That project led up to this set of 2" homebrew dimple dies.

Have been helping a buddy move all weekend, and yesterday we redid the flooring in the 2nd floor of his new house. Today we brought the last of his old house over, but this guy didn't make the move, and found his way to my house. I'll feed and shelter him, and be his caretaker for the rest of my days.

I went fishing on my kayak last weekend on a reef two km out to try catch a tuna. Its infested with big resident bull sharks. I realized I was sinking so beat a hasty retreat back to land. When I was coming in through the surf I managed to damage my kayak on the sand bank.
I had a try at some fibreglass patching.
