Do the kit instructions tell you to restrict the air intake into that cowling Adrian? Cooling air area in must equal 1/3 of exit area or bad things will happen to cyl head temps at full throttle.

Given the engine, it will take more than "restricting" to do the job. Looks like it will need ducting to the cylinder...... big round hole....little bitty cylinder.

              Gotta keep it symmetrical.

Not sure if I showed this here or not. Did the same adapter on the TB.

It looks like Andy is getting ready to roast a big fat rat.
Looks like a couple of fuel rails below the plenum, EFI I would assume?
More details Andy, not fair to dangle a pic and then leave us hanging all day.

Me, I got an old 1958 12 HP Viking outboard motor to roar again after a long period of sleep and neglect. I'm sure it hasn't seen daylight for at least 4 decades maybe more. She'll be out fishing with her new owner on the weekend.

Also while digging around in the nether regions of one of my roll away tool cabinets I found a really nice old pump type oil can that my dad used to use in the 60's. It needed a small solder repair to the portion in the top where the copper fitting for the spout comes thru it. It's all done now and no oil leaks anywhere and looks like new! Probably parked due to it needing a bit of TLC, just like the old Viking. LOL
It even as has a nice heavy thick leather gasket between the body and top. Haven't seen one of those for a while.

                • I got a couple Noga style indicator holders and needed more room on the lathe gearbox top. I finally got around to making up a BXA toll holder rack.
I should have made it bigger but needed to work with the scrap that I had on hand. Maybe I'll make another one some day but I did free up enough space for now.
                  Here are a few pictures.

I did paint it after trying it out. Should be dry by morning but it is kinda humid out there.

                  • A few days ago I cut some more trail in the hill behind my "other house":

The primary reason was to gain access to a dead tree that is leaning on other trees behind my "main" house:

It's a rather narrow trail cut into a steep hill:

I also cleaned up a lot of debris, leaves, and branches behind the house:

It was a Yellow Aircraft kit. I bought it back around 2003 when I was completely plane crazy.

I finished her up tonight. I just need to set the control throws and set the CG and mount the receiver battery and she's ready for her maiden after I break-en the engine.

Here is a picture of the full size Breitling Eagles Sukhoi. I didn't put the eagle decals on the stab.

Pics of old outboard? I am an old outboard fan!

As for the car pics, you guys will see them as I make stuff for it. Don't worry, there is lots to come yet!

Do I see a Johnson Waterbug hiding at the far end? and maybe an Elgin? Can't really see those clearly.

Looking real good. Makes me want to get back into the hobby, but it's been a very long time. What engine is that?

I stopped flying around ~2004 when I got the machine shop illness and a serious yacht illness in ~2006 and just started flying again a few years ago. I was really into it back in the day. I was a flight instructor (still am, but I'm only teaching my son). I was into both airplanes and Heli's. A lot has changed in the hobby. Especially with smaller gas engines (10cc) with electronic ignition. I still prefer glow engines for < 1.20 size but thinking about getting some .60 size (10cc) gas engines for some yet-to-be-built planes. For the Sukhoi, I'm powering it with an Evolution .61NX glow engine. I would have normally used an OS .61FX or the new OS 65AX for a 60 size but wanted to try out an Evolution. If the Evolution gives me any problems I'll replace it with an OS 65AX.

                              • No nice radial, then?

Was looking forward to the build thread.
