      Thanks Oldtiffie for the advise,
      Playing around with this level just really shows about thermal expansion/contraction to a new degree. It's almost like a magic show. I work with plastic, and have heard the cookie sheet pop and warp in the oven.Long surveyors measures changing sizes. I'm just dumbfounded, This tool is pretty crazy. I put a small flashlight on it and sure enough, bubble down. I'll not be hanging the wife's pictures or shelves with it.

        I have a 4 and a 6" that I use a lot. I use it more as a comparator with my mill when doing setups on the vice. Nice find. Had I seen it before you this would be my thread
