  • Aluminum flat bar suppliers..??

Does anyone know a supplier that carries 1" x 1.5" 2024 aluminum flat bar. I tried online metals, speedymetals, metal depot, metal express and didn't have any luck. I need to find 96 feet. I can find 6061 but not 2024...Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks...............Krems

        McMaster-Carr www.mcmaster.com has it, page 3612, but it's pricey.

Edit: Frank, you beat me to it!

          Alaskan might have it.
They will UPS if you are not in Washington or Oregon- but they have to cut 12 footers in half.

Location, Location, Location. It is important!

Not knowing where you are located kind of eliminates local suppliers. When you can drive over and pick something out of the cutoff bin it is often cheaper. Letting people know aproximately where you are will ultimately get you more help.

Yeah we're not going to track you down and take your stuff.

On a forum like this you need at least a state/country tag... heck I could be sitting two houses down from you and have exactly what you need but you'll never know without a location tag.

Again a guy who does not want to say where he is! Why? I am quite sure I can find it local but if he is on the Moon or Mars the space program is ending soon.

EMJ metals, Ryerson, and Fry Steel ( LA area) should all have it. No affiliation with the above. It usually comes cold finished instead of extruded and will run 3-4 X the price of 6061.

Thanks for the leads....I'll call tomorrow to see if I can track some down.

I havn't called any of the places as I only did an internet search of the inventory listed.

BTW....I'm located in Bozeman, Montana USA

Try Fry Steel in Santa Fe Springs CA. They have the best prices too.
