  • Metallurgy 101

I ran across this site today.
    http://home.sprynet.com/~monel/metallurgy_faq_v11.htm

I'd call it "Metallurgy in a Nutshell". The author calls it FAQ. Whatever you call it, it seemed to be written in an easy-to-follow manner that home shop machinists could certainly follow easy enough. Once you get guys talking about metallurgy, they'll often go out on tangents that will glaze the eyes over and cause you to go to the snack table and dip another chip. I think this guy did a good job of summarizing basic metallurgy in a way that one can easily follow.

Go ahead and click on it. It's short and sweet.
Since this isn't PM, can I say "hope this helps."?

Agree! Should answer most all the questions I'm likely to have.
Nice to have the info all in one place.

      Thanks Tyrone.
