  • If you fancy watching a boring 5 minutes of video

Then I have just the thing for you. [ yawn ]

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCbqsi3_E8o

I put this on You tube for someone who wanted to see how Vectric's Cut3D handled patterns for casting.

I did this ages ago and sent it to him , found it again today and put it on You tube.

Basically an STL drawing brought in from Solid Edge, the face selected and two tools selected and the program does the rest.

        You managed 1/2 way ?
That's got to be a record.

Eddie, very easy as the program is automatic, you don't have any control over it for for odd one off's what you loose on machining you more than make up on learning a complex program.

The hard part is you still need the 3D drawing.

Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

It is true, there is nothing free about freedom, don't be so quick to give it away.
