  • Father's day & mad at the wife....

    It's fathers' day!!!
I went into the shop this morning to do some tinkering, and my wife yelled at me.
"NO!! You're not spending Father's Day in the shop!"
"You're gonna relax, and spend some time with us!"
    *sigh*
    Yes Dear......
I can't even have fun on Father's Day.

Funny, my wife and kid are at in-laws (I'd like to kill) without me, so I'm free to go to the cabela's fathers day sale without any witnesses.

Funny - On Mother's day the whole family crowds around mother. On Father's day Dad just wants to be left alone and go golf/fish/tinker/whatever by himself.

I had heard the reputation that Texan men are made of tough stuff.
It is apparent that their women are tougher!

Kid,my strategy when people nag me into doing things I don't want to do is to simply annoy the hell out of them in hopes they learn a lesson.
I just need one more tool, just one!

I had a bonus weekend! My wife was drafted into helping at a friends giant yard sale and was tied up all day Saturday ad sunday. So.....

Saturday was spent at the Pioneer Valley Live Steamers Fathers Day meet and Sunday at the Waushakum Live Steamers Van Brocklin Meet. Yahoo.

PLUS we went to a favorite restaurant in Point Judith RI Friday night for a lobster dinner which I had expected to pay for but my wife treated me instead. Too cool!

            Happy Fathers Day to all

I used to think Fathers day was nine months before Mothers day but that was when my memory was better...........

I think you've got it right Ken.

Here is how Texas man see 'emselves:

                They wish.

Here is how Texan women (who can drive anything) sort the "men" out!! Take the blokes toys off 'em and use some of 'em to drive the point home. And when those blokes sulk or "throw a wobbly (tantrum)" they just put a bib on 'em and put 'em in "Naughty Corner" (where they get naught too!!):

And if they think that's tough - the women here (and in EnZed?) are even tougher - but very very nice.

                  Suck it up

                  Doin' the vacuuming in Texas.

                  I'll bet she WAS impressed.

I'd hazard a guess and say that what she gave you in return did not cause any concern about your family planning.

                  Suck it up.

If it'd been sucked up, there wouldn't be any daddy's.
