The J line was the same as the Logan shaper. You might give Scott Logan a call at Logan Actuator Co. , http://www.loganact.com/ . He might have them or know where to get one.

    Gibs

If the gib has a single adjusting screw at the end it will have flat faces that are tapered (ie not parallel) - as is the case with some mills and lathes etc. and can be a PITA to make.

As it is a small shaper the gib is likely to have parallel flat faces and be adjusted by several (usually four) small set screws - as is the case on some smaller mills and lathes.

If it is the latter/second it will be easier to make one as the sizes are not critical. Adjustment is quick, easy and accurate.

    J-Line parts

I am just about finished refurbishing a Brodhead-Garrett J-Line 8” shaper. It is missing the gib for the swivel/clapper compound, PN# 15A-80064. Does any one have a line on part for this machine?
