There will be a few model engineers with models this week end at the Toledo show, Cowlitz Prairie Grange Threshing Bee, which shouldn't be too far from you.

Wow, that must have been one extremely fun trip Jerry! It's always amazing to see what kind of products we've created in the past and how we've either modified them or replaced them decades later.

Hah... I saw that.... I forget the name of the whole thing , but it looks like it has what I have heard called a "Smith wheel" on it,.

A 5th wheel attached to a buckboard, with the 5th wheel having a small B&S engine in it. Notice the fuel tank, and teh association with B&S in the link

What an interesting place, thanks for posting.

There is a powered car/cart of some type in the last photo you posted. Do you have any more information or photos of the unit?

    Pioneer Village

I once toured a place outside Kearney Nebraska called Pioneer Village. The pictures in the post reminded me of it. All sorts of neat things from jet engines, old toys, old furniture, to old motorcycles. It was very educational. Jan

    Pics from Al's Iron Ranch

I belong to a local club called the Portland Model Engineers. Bunch of old guys (mostly) that get together and show off tool or projects that they have built. This last months was at Al's Iron Ranch north of Vancouver. Pretty incredible place. This guy has a MASSIVE collection of old engines, antiques, tractors, you name it. I took some pics with my iPhone. Of all days to not bring my dSLR!
