You can use the URL markup tag to enclose the web address like this:

Thanks much, Don't know as I understand what you did but I'll copy your post and try it out next time. Gotta use it to understand it.

Was playing with my Camera today, got the best results with the room lights off and using flash, not a acceptable solution! Flash off: just smears, Flash on, room lights on: washes out, auto flash gets best results. Have a Casio Exilim; 7.2 Mega pixels. I'm not a camera person and have no plans to acquire a better camera, or have the desire to learn much more than how to get results that are reasonably useful in the context of this Board.

I don't post much, just lurk, acquiring a Lathe and Milling Machine was seen as and still is mostly in support of fixing stuff around the house. I get quite provoked that things can't be fixed! Folks like you, I'm just in awe of your skills, that and not just a little intimidated!

Instead of using a link in your post, hold your cursor over the picture in Photobucket and choose IMG Code. Right click and copy. Then paste into the posting.

I rarely use flash to take pictures. It produces very poor results with closeup photography. The secret is simple. Use extra light from a portable clip on lamp or two and put the camera on something to steady it. A tripod will work sometimes but not always. A lot of the time you can find a nearby object to hold the camera against to stop shake during a slow exposure.

For images of individual parts cold bluish lighting seems to be the best. When taking pictures of machinery a warm lighting effect from an incandescent bulb is especially effective, like this:

Agreed regarding poor results with flash. They seem to find every speck of dust and light them up like stars.

My favorite camera stabilizer is a monopod. Quick to set up, eliminates all hand movement, and when used with a shutter timer you don't even get that bit of motion.
