  • It's Alive, It's Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my little wheel horse running, And it runs great. I drove it about the equivalent to 8 little blocks and it didn't even sputter funny. Thank you anybody who had helped me with tips and know how.

Is this a real "Wheel Horse" or your take on the name? I picked up a chassis from an IH Cub (I think--no sheetmetal) from the salvage yard a few weeks ago. I think I might make a Tug or Mini Dozer out of it. It's got the hydrolic drive system but no motor. Just another project to add to the "pile".

real wheel horse, it had everything but a mower deck. i have the hood and everything, i need to paint it but before i do that i am seriously going to need a battery charger or an ignition switch because my battery is brand new and always dead. then i am going to get some shains for thet tires.

            Shed,

I don't know about the wheel horse, but the lawnmowers i work on use the magnets in the flywheel to creat current to recharge the battery. There are usually pick-up coils around the inside of the flywheel, with a regulator on the outside of the flywheel. that might help your battery problem

it is the ignition switch that is drainging the battery, i am no longer in a shed but now in my shop, in my house.

That is a dangerous situation. Get rid of the switch or un-hook the battery all the time. Fire is the greatest threat when it comes to machinery. Some friendly advice, don't cut corners on this one
