    Lathe

Too bad that's not where Black Forest can get it. I bet it would fit nicely with his other new machines - on the second floor. Congrats on your new stuff BF. I especially like the saw.

Think I could reuse my MT3 dead centers in that?

That would be a good lathe for making a 41 ft long 5 ft diameter gun barrel.

Ask the buyer if he will ship it by UPS.

Very small bore for such a large lathe.

World wide shipping as well, I wonder if that will fit in a flat rate box or 2 to help keep the price down.

A machine that size and only a 2 1/2" through hole in the spindle?? You should be able to crawl through that spindle.

The machine is for a local pickup only. They'll load it into your pickup truck at no additional fee.

                    Rapid Traverse

Good to see it has rapid traverse, would take several minutes to crank the saddle along the bed.

I thought the same thing......I wonder when they get that big if they're largely custom made?

The guy doing the advertising needs a smack; selling a 6 figure machine and you click on his photos and what comes up is barely larger than than the thumbnail....you just can't fix stupid.....and just because of that i'm not buying it.

More than likely it was made to turn shafts between centers. The spindle bore only needs to be large enough to accept centers.

At 41' and 30 rpm a .010 cut would take 27 1/3 hrs to complete.

                              At 1.8 rpm = 455 hrs.....
